ABOUT TAU MU STEM SCHOLARSHIP

Tau Mu is a national honors society supporting high school and college students in their pre-professional and academic endeavors. Founded in 2018, Tau Mu has supported college students by offering free resources for students with financial need in STEM, Law, and Finance.

Tau Mu has supported high school students through the STEM Scholarship program. The Tau Mu Lambda High School STEM Scholarship Program provides $500 awards to high school students to support their academic and career aspirations in STEM. Scholarships can be used for tuition, books, summer enrichment programs, tutoring for standardized tests, and essential technology. Funded by alumni of Princeton University and the University of Florida, the program aims to empower students to excel in STEM and prepare for higher education.

What makes the Tau Mu STEM scholarship unique is that funding is intentionally set aside for underclassmen, who are traditionally unable to apply for scholarships, in addition to seniors.

We also encourage students, especially underclassmen, to use the funding for other STEM educational needs like tutoring, summer programs, and technology that is often not covered by traditional scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be enrolled in high school, grades 9-12, demonstrate an interest in STEM through coursework, extracurricular activities, or future career aspirations, and have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Applications are due by January 30th at 11:59 pm. If you are in need of an application extension, please contact the scholarship coordinator at scholarships@taumulambda.org
